Acceptable Use Policy
Updated:
Shager helps agencies publish to many accounts. That only works if every post is legitimate, and if the networks keep trusting the tools that publish to them. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.
Do not use Shager for
Spam and mass duplication
- Publishing the same or nearly the same content across many accounts in order to flood feeds, game the algorithm, or look bigger than you are.
- Repetitive, unsolicited or misleading posts, comments or links.
- Posting to accounts at a pace or volume meant to get around a network's limits.
Fake engagement
- Buying, selling or exchanging likes, follows, views, comments or shares.
- Running networks of fake, automated or inauthentic accounts, or coordinating accounts to fake popularity.
- Using comments (including first comments) to manipulate engagement rather than to inform.
Impersonation and deception
- Pretending to be another person, brand or organisation, or connecting accounts you are not authorised to manage.
- Hiding that content is paid or promotional where the law or the network requires disclosure.
- Misleading links: short links must lead where people expect them to.
Unlawful or harmful content
- Content that breaks the law, infringes copyright, trademarks or privacy, or that you have no right to publish.
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, sexual content involving minors, violent extremism, or fraud.
- Sending messages or collecting leads in breach of anti-spam or privacy law, including Israel's Communications Law (the "spam law") and the GDPR.
Abusing the service or the networks
- Trying to evade a network's limits, review or detection systems.
- Scraping, reverse engineering or overloading Shager or the networks' APIs.
- Accessing other customers' data, or testing our security without following our responsible disclosure process.
What we expect instead
- Original content per account. Each account should get content that fits its audience. Shager's tools (captions per network, first comments and tracking per account, staggered dispatch) exist to help you do this. Use them.
- Real authorisation. Every connected account belongs to you or to a client who has authorised you to manage it.
- Honest disclosure. Mark commercial, sponsored or AI-generated content where the law or the network requires it.
Respect each network's rules
When you publish through Shager, you also agree to follow the rules of each network you publish to, including:
- Meta: Meta Terms of Service, Instagram Terms of Use, Meta Platform Terms and Community Standards.
- YouTube: YouTube Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- TikTok (coming soon): TikTok Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, the Branded Content Policy and the Music Usage Confirmation.
- LinkedIn (coming soon): LinkedIn User Agreement and Professional Community Policies.
If a network's rules are stricter than this policy, the network's rules apply.
What we may do
If we believe this policy has been broken, we may remove content from the queue, pause publishing, disconnect accounts, or suspend or close the account, and, where the law requires it, report to the authorities. Where possible we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. In urgent cases (for example a risk to the networks, to other customers, or to people) we may act first and tell you afterwards.
Reporting abuse
If you see content published through Shager that breaks this policy, write to yaniv.presler@gmail.com with the link and a short explanation.
