- Postiz offers AI image and video generation and clipping. Shager's AI assistant works on the text.
- Analytics
- Postiz shows performance data from the networks. Shager measures clicks per account and per post, not every network metric.
- Open source and self-hosting
- Postiz is open source (AGPL) and you can run it on your own server at no cost. Shager is not open source; self-hosting is available by arrangement.

Both have an API and MCP. What's different?
In both, an agent can schedule. In Shager an agent can also open a sandbox by itself that publishes nothing until a person claims it and grants publish permission; a send to more than 10 accounts or within 60 minutes needs confirmation; and client approval can be requested through a link.
Can I move my scheduled content?
There is no automatic import from other tools. Upcoming content is rescheduled in Shager, by hand or by your agent through the API. Accounts reconnect on each network's permission screen, in minutes.
What happens when the launch period ends?
During the launch period everything is free, no card. Before we start charging we'll tell you in advance, and nothing is charged without your consent.
Can I use both?
Yes. Each tool's permission is separate, and the same accounts can connect to both.
