What connects on Instagram
You connect Instagram professional accounts (business or creator). There are two ways: signing in directly with Instagram, or through the Facebook Page the account is linked to. Either way you pick the account on the official permission screen and confirm.
A personal account needs to switch to professional in Instagram's settings (free, takes a minute). Without that, the official API doesn't allow publishing.
A client can connect their own account through a connect link, with no Shager account and no shared password. Each Instagram account is one account on your plan.

Shager checks these rules in the composer before scheduling, and again before publishing. Anything that doesn't fit shows up right away, not after the network rejects it.
03Leads
Where the link goes, and how clicks are counted
On Instagram a link in the caption isn't clickable. So Shager puts the lead link in the first comment, right after publishing, where the audience actually taps. The caption stays clean.
The link in the comment is our own short link with a UTM tag per account, so the report shows which accounts brought clicks and which only brought views. No IP addresses, no scripts on the visitor's side.

Frequently asked
Can I publish from a personal Instagram account?
No. Instagram's official API allows publishing to professional accounts (business or creator) only. Switching to professional is done in Instagram's settings, free, without losing followers.
Do I need a Facebook Page to connect Instagram?
Not necessarily. You can sign in directly with Instagram. If the account is already linked to a Facebook Page, you can connect through the Page as well, and both connect on the same screen.
Can I write a different caption for each account?
Yes. Write once, then change text, hashtags, time and first comment per account. The writing assistant suggests variants per account, and you decide what goes out.
How does a link become clickable on Instagram?
Through the first comment. Shager comments as the account with a short link and a tracking tag right after the post is live. Stories have no comments, so no link there.
Is it safe? Will the account get blocked?
Shager publishes only through Instagram's official API, with the permissions you granted, at the pace the network allows. Delivery to many accounts is spread over time. Publishing your own content through the official API is exactly what Instagram built it for.
