01Connect
What connects on YouTube
You connect YouTube channels. Clicking "Connect" opens Google's permission screen, you pick the Google account and the channel, and allow uploads. Shager asks only for the permissions needed to upload and comment.
A Brand Account channel connects the same way: pick it on Google's screen instead of the personal channel. Each channel is one account on your plan.
A client with their own channel connects it through a connect link, with Google, without giving you access to their account.

Shager checks these rules in the composer before scheduling, and again before publishing. Anything that doesn't fit shows up right away, not after the network rejects it.
03Leads
Where the link goes, and how clicks are counted
In a YouTube description a link is clickable, and on public videos Shager also posts a first comment with the lead link as soon as the upload finishes.
Each channel gets its own short link and UTM tag. The report shows how many clicks each channel brought from each video, without storing IP addresses.

Frequently asked
How does Shager know a video is a Short?
From the format you choose. For Shorts, Shager checks up front that the video is vertical or square and no longer than 3 minutes, because that is how YouTube recognises a Short. A landscape video goes up as a regular video.
Can each channel have its own title?
Yes. Title, description and privacy are set per video and per channel. If you leave the title empty, Shager takes the first line of the caption.
Can I upload as private and publish later?
Yes. Choose "private" or "unlisted" and the video goes up without appearing publicly. You make it public in YouTube Studio. YouTube doesn't allow comments on a private video, so Shager skips the first comment there.
Is there a limit on uploads?
YouTube gives every app a daily upload quota. Shager spaces uploads out, retries when the quota is full, and shows next to each channel what happened.
Does Shager see my existing videos?
No. The permission covers uploading and commenting on what Shager itself uploaded. You can revoke it at any time in your Google account settings.
